Golden Agers Club

Golden Agers

Golden Agers provides senior citizens with the opportunity to meet each week in order to remain socially active and form friendships with other members of the community.  The Golden Agers Club meets every Friday afternoon during the school year to play bingo, attend theme parties, go on field trips, and socialize.  Seniors aged 55 and over are welcome to attend.

Computer Classes

Free computer classes for adults in the community are now offered at the Settlement and in neighboring Noble Street College Prep high school.   Both day and evening courses are available. Contact Allen Ramsier for information about course offerings and availability:   773-862-1449, Extension 191.

Computer Classes

English as a Second Language

ESL Class Three to four nights a week, from 5:30 to 8:00, Hispanic and Eastern Eurpean adults from the West Town community come to the Settlement for English as a Second Language classes.  Classes are taught by adult educators from City Colleges.  For students who are not available at night, one class is held twice a week from 10:00 am to noon.   For information, contact Jose Alatorre at 773.278.7471 Extension 105.

The success of Settlement programs depends on the financial contributions of many individuals, businesses, and organizations.  Supporters may donate to the Northwestern University Settlement Association online through the Events.org site.
